I recently joined Influenster which, depending on specific demographics that you fit into and how active you are, will send you samples to test, review, and share with everyone you know.

I received NYC’s Liquid Lipshine in “Nude York City.” I don’t generally use lip gloss on a regular basis, but I love trying out new ones for special occasions — especially dates! I wasn’t very impressed with this product. It says right on the packaging that it’s “non sticky” but I found it to be relatively sticky after it started to dry. It was very soft, though, and it felt like it was actually giving my lips some moisture rather than drying them out as some glosses do. I

I did, however, love the color (I’m a sucker for nude) and it smelled like vanilla, so I loved that. It doesn’t really lend much color to my lips (I guess it’s not really supposed to) but it does lend a nice shine. It’d be a very nice color to wear in a professional or casual setting or on top of a colored lipstick.

Overall, I think I’ll definitely keep the Liquid Lipshine as an option for special occasions, but it definitely didn’t convert me into a “every day lip gloss” kind of gal.
